As of April 6: IndyCar Revised 2020 Schedule

As things evolve due to precautions/closures surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, the NTT IndyCar Series continues to work with promoters on revisions to the 2020 season schedule. Here are some notable changes, and the complete list of dates/venues can be found HERE and below. 

  • Season kicks off with Texas Motor Speedway (original date)
  • 104th Indianapolis 500 rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23
  • IndyCar Grand Prix (at IMS) makes historic move to Fourth of July Weekend, in conjunction with the NASCAR race
  • A second road course race will be added at IMS, moving the season into October
  • Races at Iowa Speedway and Laguna Seca become double-headers
  • The following races have been canceled: 
    • Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
    • Grand Prix of Alabama
    • IndyCar Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas
    • Detroit Grand Prix
  • The following races have new dates:
    • Mid-Ohio – Sunday, Aug. 9 (one week earlier)
    • Gateway – Sunday, Aug. 30 (one week later)
    • Portland Int. Raceway – Sunday, Sept. 13 (one week later)

Aug 23 - Indianapolis 500
Aug 30 - Gateway Raceway
Sep 13 - Portland International

Sep 19 - Laguna Seca Race 1
Sep 20 - Laguna Seca Race 2
Oct 3 - Indianapolis Road Course Race 2
