American, Alexander Rossi was pleased with his first full day with Team Lotus in the T128-04 at ‘Yas Marina Circuit. The American driver supported by AirAsia and Team Lotus drove last weekend at ‘Yas’ for Caterham AirAsia in the GP2 finale where he is finished 13th and 7th. Rossi is a graduate from World Series by Renault in 2011, finishing 3rd overall in championship with 2 wins and 7 podiums.
Today’s was Rossi’s second opportunity behind the wheel for Team Lotus F1 squad, after driving in demonstration event on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia earlier this year.

Following a disappointing race 1 yesterday, when a wheel-to-wheel clip with Vergne ended Alexander's race prematurely, the wet weather continued to persist for Sunday morning. Qualifying 2 was interupted several times with yellow and red flags, however Alexander was able to extract a P7 start for the afternoon...

Alexander has qualified in P2 for the first race of the Nurburgring weekend this morning. The qualifying session started dry, but when the clouds intensified all teams set out on track for a mad-dash first set. The rain came down, but then subsided for the last 10 minutes of the classified 'wet session'. With more wing permitted on the car, Alexander was very quick, but unable to catch Wickens who finished the session P1. HOCKENHEIM (GER) 24 JULY 2010: Alexander Rossi suffered a dramatic crash at the Hockenheimring after he was pitched into a spin on Lap 4 of today's GP3 Series race. The 18 year-old had made a sensational start from 19th place, having endured a difficult qualifying with a two-place grid penalty. By the exit of Turn 1 Alexander was up to 11th. A multi-car shunt at the hairpin a few corners later brought out the Safety Car. Alexander attacked again at the restart, muscling up to sixth position through Turn 1 at the point he was taken out.
Rio Haryanto had spun through the right-hander, and Alexander kept his foot flat to the floor down the inside while the cars he was pursuing went to the left. But then three cars came back across the track...
